Introduction

You awake to find yourself in a dimly lit room, rays of sunshine trickle beneath the curtain onto the filthy floor. The room you are in vaguely smells of alcohol and the hint of vomit. Outside you hear raised voices although you cannot quite make out what they are saying. The only thing you are quite aware of is the splitting headache you and the fact that you have no recollection of how you got here..

Since this campaign is regarded as a one-shot story, the order in which the campaigns play is pretty set. Although actions done, or not done in can have serious consequences for the end of the story.

The headache

They awaken to find themselves in a dimly lit room, rays of sunshine trickle beneath the curtains onto the filthy floor. It’s rather chilly and the room you are in vaguely smells of alcohol and the hint of last night vomit. Outside you hear some raised voices although you cannot quite make out what they are saying. The only thing you are quite aware of is the splitting headache you have. And then it dawns on you, you have absolutely no recollection of how you got here.

A cold reception

Changed, no longer in the form they were used to, they are now considered witches spawn by the town guard and brought to the jails beneath the mansion of the mayor.

It is here that the party first starts to learn what happened to them the night before. Four individuals are locked up in here as well and have few things to say.

A bargain

Brought before the ruler of the town, they party pleads with him. They are bystanders and should be left alone. The mayor however has his own set of troubles brought on by last nights event and tasks the party to deal with it and he shall make sure they will be turned back.

A harsh choice

The party, seemingly having no choice, they will do the mayors bidding. Or will they? Arriving at the faithful scene they are being treated a guest although some sinister does seem to loom here.


This campaign was finished on 07-02-2021 and took 1 session to complete. As the co-creator I would like to give a special thanks to my players and fellow DM (Ragnadriel) who brought this exciting adventure to a grand ending. The event was streamed on twitch and can be revisited here. Part of the artwork for this session has been created by Maartje van Dokkom.
